In 2019 The Shrewsbury Morris Dancers were involved in an exciting project working in collaboration with Thingumajig Theatre to construct a 3.5 m tall giant dancing puppet. The project was funded by Arts Council England and Shrewsbury Town Council and included; a specially written story about Septimus the giant Shrewsbury cobbler, a new suite of music and choreographed dances to go with them.

The entire project was filmed and two videos were produced by Helter Skelter Studios. Exhibition materials were also designed and produced so that many people could have the opportunity to see Septimus and the story behind the project.
